Plumbing work in Kyiv by KyivReno covers the full cycle — from dismantling old pipes to installing and connecting plumbing fixtures. The plumbing crew replaces cold and hot water supply risers and sewer risers, runs new lines to every connection point, and installs shut-off valves, coarse filters, pressure reducers and water meters in a location accessible for servicing.

Sewerage is a separate cycle: pipes are laid with the correct slope (2 cm/m for Ø50 and 1.5 cm/m for Ø110), floor drains with a water seal are installed in bathrooms and kitchens, and non-return valves against backflow from neighbours are fitted on lower-floor risers. Before chases are closed and tiles are laid, KyivReno pressure-tests each branch under a manometer with photo and video documentation — and signs an acceptance certificate before finishing work begins.

How plumbing installation unfolds: from measurement to handover

After a free on-site visit by a specialist, the client receives a pipe layout and a fixed-price estimate within 2-3 days. The stages: agreeing the layout with the client, dismantling old pipes and risers (with OSBB or housing office approval where required), laying new water supply and sewer lines (3-5 days), pressure-testing above working pressure with photo documentation, installing concealed frames for toilets and cisterns, and connecting and testing at handover.

KyivReno handles approvals for riser replacement with the OSBB or housing office and arranges the temporary water shutoff for the whole entrance — this is not passed on to the client. Concealed joints carry a 1-year warranty with full financial liability: if a leak appears after the tiles are closed up, KyivReno fixes the consequences at its own expense, including dismantling and re-tiling.

Standards, materials and warranty

KyivReno carries out plumbing work in line with ДБН В.2.5-64:2012 "Internal water supply and sewerage", ДБН В.2.5-75:2013 for sewer networks of private houses, and ДСТУ Б В.2.7-144:2007 for polypropylene pipes for drinking water (harmonised with EN ISO 15874). ДСТУ-Н Б В.2.5-40:2009 is the guideline for designing networks made from plastic pipes.

Pipes and fittings: Rehau Rautitan (cross-linked PEX polyethylene with manifold distribution), Wavin Ekoplastik (PP-R polypropylene), Valtec (metal-plastic and fittings). Sewerage — Ostendorf HT/KG or Wavin. Concealed installation frames — Geberit Duofix and Sigma. Pressure reducers, filters and meters — Viega, Honeywell. Mixers — Grohe, Hansgrohe, Kludi from official channels with a passport and serial number. All work carries a 1-year warranty.

Frequently asked questions about plumbing work

What pipe material do you use for hot and cold water supply?

For cold and hot water supply KyivReno uses Rehau Rautitan (cross-linked PEX polyethylene with manifold distribution) or Wavin Ekoplastik (PP-R polypropylene) — both materials are certified to ДСТУ Б В.2.7-144:2007 for drinking water. For sewerage — Ostendorf or Wavin HT/KG. We do not use metal for concealed installation because of corrosion.

Is pressure testing mandatory, and at what pressure?

Yes — before chases and tiles are closed up, KyivReno pressure-tests each branch at 1.5 times working pressure (usually 8-10 atmospheres) for at least one hour. Photo documentation of the manometer and an acceptance certificate are handed over to the client before finishing work starts.

What is the warranty on concealed joints and what does it cover?

The 1-year warranty covers all concealed joints with full financial liability from KyivReno. If a leak is discovered after the tiles are closed up, we fix the cause at our own expense, including dismantling and re-tiling the affected area.

Does riser replacement need to be agreed with the OSBB or housing office?

Yes — replacing a riser requires notifying the building manager and temporarily shutting off water for the whole entrance. KyivReno handles the approval with the OSBB or housing office, informs neighbours and arranges the tie-in to the common riser — the client does not spend any time on this.
