What the Design & Author Supervision package includes
The Design & Author Supervision package by KyivReno in Kyiv is a complete interior design project for an apartment or house, plus regular author supervision on site. It is not a loose sketch or a mood board, but a working tool the crews build from while the designer personally makes sure the result matches the approved renders.
The design part covers a designer site visit for precise measurements, a layout plan with furniture and equipment placement, realistic 3D renders of every room, and a full set of working drawings: floor and ceiling plans, wall elevations, and electrical and plumbing schematics. We also prepare specifications for finish materials, furniture, lighting, and fixtures — with item codes and supplier names, so procurement can be repeated without mistakes.
Author supervision: how it differs from a standalone design project
The core value of this package is the supervision. A standalone design project ends when the drawings are handed over, after which the client explains the intent to the trades themselves. The Design & Author Supervision package removes that gap: the designer is on site at every critical milestone — approving the tile layout, verifying color choices under natural light, and overseeing lighting and furniture installation.
The designer coordinates decisions with the site supervisor, resolves non-standard situations right on site, and makes sure the final result matches the approved renders. If you only need a documentation set without supervision during the renovation, see our standalone interior design service — the difference is precisely the author supervision throughout the renovation.
How it pairs with the renovation
The best result comes when design and construction are handled by one team. We pair Design & Author Supervision with turnkey renovation: the designer and our in-house crews (electricians, plumbers, tilers, painters) work from a single project, so responsibility is not scattered across several contractors. Thanks to the working drawings, the crews do not improvise on site, and the materials estimate is built from ready specifications — with no overpaying for extras and no top-up purchases mid-work. Examples of completed interiors are in our project portfolio.
Cost and fixed price
The design project and author supervision are already included in the Premium package. A design project ordered separately from the renovation starts from UAH 2,000/m², and the renovation part is estimated separately. The price is fixed in the contract before work begins and does not change without written approval of additional scope. You can compare packages and indicative rates on the pricing page: turnkey renovation starts from UAH 17,900/m² ("Standard"), UAH 26,200/m² ("Comfort"), and UAH 37,200/m² ("Premium"). These rates cover labor and rough materials; finish materials (tile, paint, flooring, wallpaper, lighting, sanitary ware) and furniture are paid for separately, and we buy the finish materials with the client's money.
Warranty and quality control
All completed work carries an official 1-year warranty. Quality is controlled by two roles at once: the project's dedicated site supervisor handles site management, and a quality inspector who is not part of the crews verifies concealed work before close-up. The designer adds a third layer of control — conformity to the project's aesthetic and functional decisions.
Who it's for and why KyivReno
The package suits owners who want a predictable "just like the render" result and aren't prepared to explain decisions to the crews themselves every day. KyivReno has worked since 2019, and the team's experience goes back to 2014. The company has around 50 specialists and in-house designers on staff, and serves Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. The first designer visit to the site is free.
Frequently asked questions about design and author supervision
How does author supervision differ from a standalone design project?
A standalone design project is documentation only. The Design & Author Supervision package adds the designer's presence on site at every critical milestone, so the project decisions are executed exactly rather than in the trades' interpretation.
Can I order design together with turnkey renovation?
Yes, that's the optimal option. The designer and KyivReno's in-house crews work from a single project within turnkey renovation, so responsibility for the result rests with one team.
