What bathroom renovation includes
A bathroom demands a systematic approach. Unlike living spaces, every stage here depends on the previous one: if waterproofing is done incorrectly, no amount of tile will prevent leaks. Here is what a full turnkey bathroom renovation covers:
- Waterproofing of walls and floors. A mandatory step per building codes. We apply two-layer coating waterproofing with at least 20 cm overlap onto walls.
- Plumbing replacement or relocation. Hot and cold water supply lines, drainage. Installation of bathtub, shower, sink, toilet, bidet.
- Tiling on floors and walls. Surface preparation, levelling, installation using a tile levelling system for even grout lines.
- Underfloor heating. Electric or water-based system beneath the tile. Included in all renovation packages.
- Ventilation. Checking draft, installing an exhaust fan with a timer or humidity sensor.
- Electrics. Moisture-rated outlets, mirror lighting, recessed ceiling fixtures.
- Ceiling. Stretch ceiling or moisture-resistant drywall with paint finish.

How the renovation process works
A bathroom renovation takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on area and complexity. Here is the sequence:
- Demolition (1-2 days). Removing old tile, fixtures, and ceiling. Hauling away construction debris.
- Utilities (3-5 days). Routing water supply, drainage, and electrical wiring. Installing concealed cistern frame for toilet if specified.
- Waterproofing (2-3 days). Applying waterproofing with drying time between layers. Quality check before the next stage.
- Levelling (2-3 days). Floor screed, wall plastering. Underfloor heating mat installation.
- Tiling (5-10 days). Floor and wall tile installation, grouting. The longest stage and the one that defines the final look.
- Ceiling and finishing (1-2 days). Ceiling installation, lighting, ventilation setup.
- Fixtures and furnishings (2-3 days). Connecting all plumbing, mounting mirror, cabinets, accessories.
- Cleaning and handover (1 day). Final cleaning, joint walkthrough and system check with the client.
The work schedule is fixed in the contract. If you need running water during renovation, we coordinate this at the planning stage.
How much does bathroom renovation cost
Cost depends on area, chosen materials, and complexity. We offer three packages with a fixed price per square metre:
Standard: 17,900 UAH/m²
Full renovation with quality mid-range materials. Ceramic tile, acrylic bathtub or shower tray, chrome-finish mixers. For a 6 m² bathroom the cost is approximately 107,400 UAH.
Comfort: 26,200 UAH/m²
Extended scope: porcelain stoneware or designer tile, built-in shower niche, wall-hung toilet with concealed cistern, premium mixers. For a 6 m² bathroom this comes to approximately 157,200 UAH.
Premium: 37,200 UAH/m²
Individual design project, natural stone or marble tile, custom walk-in shower, concealed plumbing, smart home systems for the bathroom. For a 6 m² bathroom the budget is approximately 223,200 UAH.

Frequently asked questions
Is waterproofing mandatory?
Yes. Waterproofing of wet zones is required by Ukrainian building codes (DBN). Without it, water penetrates the floor slab, leading to mould, concrete degradation, and flooding of neighbours below. We include waterproofing in every package without exception.
Can I install underfloor heating in the bathroom?
Yes. Underfloor heating is included in all our renovation packages. For bathrooms we typically use an electric cable mat beneath the tile. It heats up in 15-20 minutes and consumes minimal electricity for a bathroom area of 4-8 m².
Walk-in shower or bathtub?
Both options are supported in every package. Walk-in showers are a growing trend: they visually enlarge the space, are easier to clean, and are safer for elderly users. A bathtub is better suited for families with small children or those who enjoy a bath for relaxation. A combined option is also possible: a bathtub with a shower riser.
How long does bathroom renovation take?
Between 3 and 6 weeks. A standard 4-6 m² bathroom with the Standard package takes 3-4 weeks. Larger areas, complex geometry, or the Premium package with custom design may require up to 6 weeks. The exact timeline is fixed in the contract before work begins.
